Kia ora, I’m a qualified audiologist with a special focus on adult diagnostic assessment and hearing rehabilitation. I bring a compassionate, client-centred approach to hearing care, shaped by more than 15 years of experience across the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand.
My journey in audiology began at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, where I completed my Master’s degree in Audiology in 2007, following a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2005. My background in psychology helps me better understand how people think and feel about hearing loss — a perspective I use every day to support my clients with empathy and care.
After completing my studies, I gained valuable experience in both educational and clinical settings in the Philippines — supervising audiology students, conducting hearing and balance assessments, and participating in community outreach programs to provide hearing services in remote areas.
In 2008, I moved to Australia, working in adult hearing care and completing a Diploma in Hearing Device Prescription and Evaluation through TAFE Sydney. I relocated to New Zealand in 2010 and have been practicing in Whanganui ever since. I earned my Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology in 2013 and am a full member of the New Zealand Audiological Society (NZAS).
At Simply Hearing, located at 35 Dublin Street, Whanganui, I offer a full range of adult hearing services — from assessments to rehabilitation — in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, exploring new cultures, and finding inspiration through creative projects – whether it’s design, writing, or crafting. These personal passions help me stay open-minded, innovative, and deeply connected to the people I care for. I’m a loving wife and a proud mum to my son. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me daily of the importance of connection — something I aim to help others rediscover through better hearing.
